Musical Career

During the Mid 60's, Ken taught himself guitar while he was snowed in at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Sometime later, he formed his own band, the "Kensmen". At first, the "Kensmen" played inside the Grand Canyon lodgings during the hard Northern Arizona winters.. However, the "Kensmen" soon began playing at local fairs, shows, and other community events. In late 1970, Ken started his own record company, "Maken" with a friend named Mark. During the next two years, the "Kensmen" played at Las Vegas and Reno, among other places. They even played at the "Sands".In early 1973, Ken began submitting demo records to several large record companies, including Herb Alpert's A&M Records.
The record demos were being reviewed at the time of his death.
